Vineyards & Discoveries : Le Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées

The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality visits and services on the theme of wine. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, activities and leisure, cellars to visit, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events, etc.

Destination : Le Beaujolais des Pierres DoréesThe Beaujolais wine-growing area offers landscapes and an architecture characterised by undulating countryside and villages with ochre stone houses. The visitor will have the opportunity to savour generous, gourmand wines in heavy-doored cellars, country inns and village squares.

39 villages make up the “Le Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées” destination, including Theizé, Chessy-les-Mines, and Châtillon, to name just a few.

The destination offers a selection of 40 partner cellars open to tourists and some twenty accommodation options, along with a choice of more than 25 restaurants serving traditional cuisine with food and wine recommendations.

Visitors will be welcomed by the tourist offices of Villefranche Beaujolais, Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées and Pays de Tarare, or by a partner tourist centre.

They will be able to discover heritage sites such as the Château de Montmelas or the Château de Vaurenard and enjoy a number of activities linked to wine (available in several languages) and events that highlight the local know-how.
