The famous Hennessy Cognac house invites you on a new round of guided tours of its facilities, as well as a temporary exposition for summer 2016, “Next Stop Hennessy.”
Visitors will be taken to the heart of the Hennessy experience through the Maison de Cognac’s original historical site, which first began to demonstrate its experience in 1755.
History and Modernity Combined
Follow the footsteps of eight generations of the Hennessy family and dive into a sleek and contemporary world, a world full of elegance and creativity.
From those who laid the foundations to those who continue the Hennessy tradition today, the past and present come together to create an unexpected, multisensory experience. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look of the Cognac house and the secrets that lie within.
Solar-Powered Boat Cruise
The tour continues between the banks of the Charente River on a solar-powered boat cruise. Its journey evokes the path taken by river barges in years past, each carrying barrels of cognac for export across the sea.
The first stop on the tour is the state-of-the-art wine cellar, to be followed by the aging cellar. A veritable trip into the world of the “waters of life,” this unique site tells the story of cognac, its scents, and the sophistication of its creation.
Finally, guests can get a real taste of Maison Hennessy’s expertise in the sample workshop. They will be introduced to the different stages of cognac production and invited to discover a collection of cognacs and how to sample them.
Temporary Summer Exhibit: "Next Stop Hennessy"
Guests in Summer 2016 will be able to discover the “Next Stop Hennessy” exhibit. Spread over nearly 5,500 square feet, the display includes a series of original works, each interpreting the spirit and heritage of the Maison Hennessy in its own unique way. Plastic sculptors, photographers, videographers, designers, and other artists unveil the Hennessy universe, its expertise, and its emblematic heritage.
