At 45 minutes from Toulouse, lies the Château de Foix. Recreate the era of the knights with a visit to this Château. Plan a visit to the Prehistoric Park ensconced in a natural setting located 15 minutes from the Château de Foix. Discover the origins of Man and participate in interactive workshops that trace the life of the prehistoric man through elements such as hunting, cave painting, archaeology and the famous fire lighting method of yore! Pay a visit to its Museum which has an exhibition space dedicated to prehistoric art.

 

At 2 hours from Toulouse lies the sacred town of Rocamadour perched on a cliff. Essentially a pilgrim town, this medieval town also has something to offer its young visitors! An exciting Falcon Show awaits families at the Rocher des Aigles or Eagles Rock. With more than 400 birds, this park has the largest collection of raptors including eagles, falcons and vultures who live and breed in a completely free environment. Marvel at their graceful flights and learn more about their habitat and particularities!

 

At 25 minutes from Rocamadour is located the famous Padirac Cave - the most famous in France also known in local parlance as the Gouffre de Padirac. Descend by lift into this natural cavity that is located 103 metres deep, under which an underground river flows. This subterranean tour, full of mystery, commences with a boat tour that takes you along various underground caverns replete with extraordinary rock formations. A must do activity with children! The Padirac Cave is just 2 hours away from Toulouse.

 

Discover the medieval city of Cahors located at 90 minutes from Toulouse. A fun discovery is promised by boat and mini-train! Discover the city and its monuments as your boat peacefully glides by.
