The Parisiens have got their own beach

Since 2002 the Parisiens and their visitors have got the possiblity to relax at two beaches in the middle of Paris for one month every summer from around the 20th of july.

Paris Plages are found along the Seine River close to Hôtel de Ville and in the area at Bassin de la Villette next to Gare de l'Est and they are open from 8.00 in the morning until midnight.

The "beaches" offers play areas, cafés, concerts, deck chairs, palm trees, showers, basketball, tennis, beach volleyball courts, kayaks, rowing, dancing, swimming pools etc. for free. This UTRA popular free "event" is a great way to experience a different and unique side of Paris.

Paris Plages is an event not to be missed - a small summer puff in middle of the urban city!
