Bordeaux Wine Festival
A great event for all wine lovers!
The world’s leading wine tourism event, the Bordeaux Wine
Festival, will once again take place from Thursday, 26th June to Sunday, 29th
June 2014! Focusing on the wines of Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region, this
event has attracted a total of over 500,000 visitors. This year's festival will
50th anniversary of the twinning of Bordeaux and its sister
city in the US, Los Angeles, who will also be the guest of honour!
The quays of the Garonne, in the heart of the UNESCO World
Heritage Site, will be the venue for this biennial gathering. A 2 km long wine road will enable visitors
with a Tasting Pass to discover some 80
Bordeaux and Aquitaine appellations. They will also be able
to exchange with winegrowers and wine merchants at the ten Appellation
Pavilions and Vintage Pavilions.
Numerous activities and special events
The festival will go on all over the city
with exhibitions and ephemeral works created by Californian artists at the CAPC
Modern Art Museum. In addition, restaurants will feature special Bordeaux Wine
In a friendly
atmosphere, the Bordeaux
Wine School will
propose several introductory
training courses every day. The 1855 Passport will entitle visitors to
take part in Master Classes on great classified growths in the prestigious
drawing rooms of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Thanks to the Cuvée Littéraire, visitors can also discover a
host of books on wine. Furthermore, there will be a cinema devoted to classic
Hollywood films and visitors can enjoy a walk through the Jardin des Arts,
where street artists will customize giant bottles.
The Bordeaux Wine Festival will also host the Bordeaux Music
Festival (4 concerts in 4 days!), an XXL sound and light show entitled
"Rendez-vous à Bordeaux", and an international pyrotechnic festival
every evening on the quays.
With the Vineyard Pass, people will discover mythical
vineyards and beautiful châteaux around Bordeaux and taste wonderful wines!
Different tours will depart everyday from the festival.

- Tasting pass (15€ if purchased beforehand, or 20€ at the event): 13 tickets + glass + glass holder + transport ticket + advantages
- Vineyard pass (60-145€) and 1855 Passport (65-150€)
